When Petite 'n Pretty began to work with us in October 2021, their goal was to make a strong impact during the holiday season. Hailing from Los Angeles, CA as a brand loved by pre-teen and teen makeup fans, they needed a site that could handle holiday traffic while showcasing the playful spirit of their products. We started with focused optimizations to improve speed, simplify navigation, and enhance the shopping experience, ensuring everything was set for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. These quick updates provided a solid foundation for steady growth.

2022 Shopify 2.0 Retheme & Custom Features

After a successful 2021 holiday season, we spearheaded the migration to a Shopify 2.0 theme, providing Petite n Pretty with a more stable code base and dynamic native features.

This update enabled more flexibility in design and layout, creating a platform where customers could easily explore products in a user-friendly environment. We introduced custom navigation and a drawer cart, simplifying browsing and checkout for shoppers.

Klaviyo eMail Marketing

Over the past few years, we’ve provided an annual Klaviyo audit and set of recommendations, fine-tuning automated flows, segmentation, and timing to boost engagement and conversions. Along the way, we’ve helped Petite n Pretty get even more value out of Klaviyo, adding features like an “added to cart” trigger and dynamic content that displays discount codes in abandoned checkout emails—both of which have been effective in driving conversions.

Makeup Quiz with Octane.io

In June 2024, we partnered with Petite n Pretty and Octane.io to launch a personalized makeup finder quiz . Designed with their dual audience in mind—tweens and their parents—the quiz helps adults find gifts kids will love and lets kids discover on-trend products for themselves. With over a 6x ROI, a 90% completion rate, and nearly double the site-wide conversion rate, the quiz has boosted engagement while giving us valuable insights into customer preferences and shopping habits.

Ongoing App Support

To boost customer retention, we introduced a subscription service through Recharge, which became even more valuable with the launch of the Sparkle Squad Subscription Box—an added perk for returning customers. We also helped Petite n Pretty smoothly transition to a new reviews app, Yotpo, and added a loyalty program using Smile.io. To support their expanding retail presence, we implemented the Stockist Store Locator, a particularly helpful tool as they move into Ulta locations. These thoughtful app integrations have enhanced customer engagement and made logistics and fulfillment more efficient.

Through a Shopify 2.0 retheme, custom features, and strategic email marketing with Klaviyo, we’ve worked with Petite n Pretty to build a smooth, engaging shopping experience for their unique audience. With a strong eCommerce foundation in place, the team is set to keep growing.
