From Draft Day to Launch Day
Sportsballer
The two founders of Sportsballer, based in Chicago, IL, came to us with a bold idea, flavors in the works, and no digital presence yet. The new brand is a non-alcoholic functional drink made for life after the workout. With creatine, protein, electrolytes, and L-theanine, it's built to help you recover without calling it an early night.
We helped bring Sportsballer to life online, building a Shopify storefront that introduced the brand, made the product easy to understand, and got everything ready for its first product run.

Game Plan: Build the Foundation
Sportsballer was still taking shape when we started, so there was more to figure out than just how the site would look. We worked with the founders to establish the structure, content, and customer journey the brand would need as it moved toward launch.
The team already had a strong creative vision, and we collaborated closely with their designer to translate that vision into a Shopify experience that felt true to the brand. Together, we worked through the details, from typography and color to layout, messaging, and how the different sides of Sportsballer could show up throughout the site.

Taking It to the Next Level
With a strong creative vision already in place, we collaborated closely with Sportsballer's designer to translate the brand into a Shopify experience that felt just as bold and playful as the product itself.
What started as a need for a quick, launch-ready build evolved into a more custom experience, with branded details, animation, and custom elements woven throughout the site. We leaned on the theme where it made sense, then pushed beyond its out-of-the-box capabilities where the brand called for something more.
One of the standout moments is the animated can on the homepage, which spins into view as you scroll and brings the product to life. Bold typography, the brand's shield motif, double-line details, and other custom touches carry that same energy throughout the storefront.
The result is a site that feels distinctly Sportsballer—not like a theme with a new coat of paint, but a Shopify experience built around the brand.
Playing to Win on the PDP
With four flavors and bundle options for each, Sportsballer needed a product experience that made it easy to explore the full lineup without sending shoppers back and forth between product pages.
We used product siblings to bring all four flavors together on a single product page, while still giving each flavor its own ingredients, product details, and imagery. Shoppers can easily switch between flavors and compare their options without losing their place in the shopping experience.
Subscribe & Save is also positioned prominently, making it easy for customers to turn their favorite flavor into a regular part of the routine.

Taking the Game Beyond the Store
The Shopify storefront was only part of the launch. We also helped Sportsballer establish the email foundation needed to start building relationships with customers from day one.
Keeping the Momentum
We planned and created Sportsballer's core Klaviyo flows, including Welcome, Abandoned Cart, Abandoned Checkout, and Browse Abandonment.
We worked through the messaging before building the emails, making sure each flow felt like an extension of the brand and was ready to go when the site launched.
Playing the Long Game
With a new brand, the first purchase is only the beginning. We worked through the offer strategy behind Sportsballer's welcome flow, making sure the introductory incentive worked alongside Subscribe & Save rather than competing with it.
The result was an email program designed not just to drive that first order, but to help turn new customers into repeat customers.

Ready for the Big Leagues
Sportsballer launched with a Shopify storefront designed around its unique brand, a clear product experience, subscription functionality, and a Klaviyo foundation ready to support customer growth.
For a brand bringing its first beverage to market, the goal was to create more than a launch-ready website. We built a flexible foundation that gives Sportsballer room to keep growing, testing, and telling its story as the brand enters its next season.
