Shopify eCommerce Strategist
Summary
Netalico is hiring an eCommerce Strategist to join our fully remote team. You’ll work closely with a range of eCommerce brands, helping them improve performance across their Shopify storefronts and marketing channels.
This role is focused on strategy, not design execution. You’ll identify opportunities, shape recommendations, and help guide clients toward higher conversion, stronger retention, and better overall performance.
This is a part-time role to start, with a clear path to full-time as you grow with us. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on eCommerce experience who is looking to grow further into strategy, while still staying close to execution.

The Role
As an eCommerce Strategist, you’ll support client strategy and help guide performance improvements across UX, merchandising, lifecycle marketing, and overall site experience.
You’ll evaluate current performance, identify opportunities, and recommend what should be improved and why. You won’t be responsible for designing pages, but you will work closely with designers and developers to bring ideas to life.
You should be comfortable jumping into Shopify, GA4, and similar tools from day one.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct eCommerce audits across UX, merchandising, and lifecycle marketing
- Identify conversion blockers and growth opportunities across the funnel
- Translate business goals into clear, prioritized recommendations
- Lead Discovery phases for site builds and migrations, including gathering requirements, defining site structure, and aligning on key features and priorities
- Create clear briefs and documentation to guide the execution team (UX, dev) through the build phase
- Partner with UX designers, developers, and project managers to bring ideas to life
- Analyze performance data (GA4, Shopify, Hotjar) and adjust recommendations accordingly
- Support presenting findings, recommendations, and roadmaps to clients
- Help shape site architecture, navigation, and product merchandising strategies
- Stay current on Shopify ecosystem tools, apps, and best practices
Qualifications & Skills
- 2–4 years in eCommerce, CRO, or digital marketing/strategy
- Strong understanding of key metrics like conversion rate, AOV, LTV, and retention
- Experience working with Shopify and its ecosystem
- Experience working directly with clients in an agency or consulting environment is a plus
- Comfortable using data to support decisions
- Clear communicator who can explain ideas without overcomplicating them
- Self-directed and comfortable working remotely
