How Much Does a Klaviyo Agency Cost in 2026? Real Pricing for Shopify Brands

A Klaviyo agency usually charges in three ways: a one-time audit, a one-time build of automated flows, and a monthly fee for running campaigns. At Netalico those are published: a Klaviyo audit is $1,000, flow packages run $2,500 to $6,000, and campaign management runs $1,200 to $5,000 per month. What pushes a quote higher is rarely the number of emails. It is the state of the Shopify data underneath them.

This guide breaks down what you are actually paying for, what changes the price, and how to tell whether you need an agency at all.

The three things a Klaviyo agency sells

Almost every Klaviyo engagement is some combination of these.

1. An audit

An audit is a review of what you already have: which flows are live, how they are triggered and filtered, how your list is segmented, whether your emails reach the inbox, and whether Klaviyo is receiving the data it needs from Shopify and your apps. The output should be a prioritized plan, not a checklist of best practices.

Netalico's Klaviyo audit is $1,000 and ends with a walkthrough call. An audit is the right first purchase if you already have Klaviyo running and are not sure what is underperforming.

2. Flow builds

Flows are the automated emails and texts triggered by behavior: someone subscribes, abandons a cart, buys, or goes quiet. They do most of the work in a mature program because they run every day without anyone pressing send.

Flow work is usually priced as a one-time package, scaled by how many flows and emails are included. Netalico's packages:

  • eComm Essentials, $2,500. 5 to 9 emails across the four core flows: welcome, abandoned cart, abandoned checkout, and browse abandonment, plus email capture.
  • Growth Foundations, $5,500. 14 to 19 emails across expanded versions of the core flows, split by whether the subscriber has purchased, plus a custom campaign template.
  • Loyalty Builder, $6,000. 13 to 17 emails across five retention flows (post-purchase, winback, upsell, VIP, and a last-chance flow for lapsing customers) plus three campaign templates.

3. Monthly campaign management

Campaigns are the one-off sends: launches, promotions, newsletters, holiday sales. An agency that manages them plans the calendar, designs and writes the emails, builds the segments, and sends.

This is priced monthly by volume. Netalico's plans are $1,200 per month for 4 emails, $2,500 per month for 8 emails and 2 SMS, and $5,000 per month for 16 emails and 4 SMS.

What actually drives the price up

Two brands can ask for the same five flows and get very different quotes. The difference is usually one of these.

Messy Shopify data. If your theme or apps are not sending clean events to Klaviyo, a flow cannot branch on what customers actually did. Fixing that is development work, and an email-only agency will either quote around it or hand it back to your developer. Custom events, a catalog feed that matches what is in stock, and subscription or loyalty data mapped onto profiles all take real engineering time.

Shopify Plus complexity. B2B pricing, several storefronts, custom checkout logic, and subscription apps all change what reaches Klaviyo. None of it is exotic, but all of it has to be accounted for before the flows are built.

SMS. Adding SMS means consent capture in forms and at checkout, updated terms and privacy language, and compliance with state rules that keep changing. Our note on the Texas SMS compliance update is one recent example.

Migration. Moving from Mailchimp, Attentive, Omnisend, or Shopify Email means carrying over consent status and suppression lists correctly and rebuilding every flow natively. Done carelessly, it costs you subscribers and sender reputation.

Creative production. Custom illustration, photography, and heavily designed templates cost more than clean, reusable modules. Many brands keep creative in-house and have the agency own strategy, build, and testing.

Agency, freelancer, or in-house hire?

A freelancer is the cheapest way to get flows built, and a good one is excellent at the craft. The gap is usually the store side: custom events, feeds, and integrations still need a developer.

An email-only agency brings strategy, design, and a sending cadence. It fits brands whose Shopify data is already clean.

An in-house hire makes sense once email and SMS need a full-time strategist, designer, and analyst. Until then, one person is rarely all three, and the tooling and development support still cost extra.

A Shopify agency that also runs Klaviyo closes the gap between the two platforms. That is the model we run at Netalico: the team that builds and maintains the Shopify store also builds the flows, so data problems get fixed where they start. Many brands use us to build the foundation and then take campaign sending in-house once the program is stable.

What the spend can return

The honest answer is that it depends on your list, your margins, and how much is broken today. One real example: when Milestones by Ashleigh Bergman started with us, email drove 3% of site revenue. After we rebuilt capture, the core flows, and the campaign program, and launched SMS, email grew from $13K in revenue in 2019 to more than $2.2M in 2024, reaching 44.7% of site revenue. The Milestones case study walks through what we built and in what order.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Klaviyo agency cost per month?

Monthly fees cover campaign management. At Netalico that is $1,200 per month for 4 emails, $2,500 for 8 emails and 2 SMS, and $5,000 for 16 emails and 4 SMS. Flow builds and audits are one-time fees on top.

How much does a Klaviyo audit cost?

Netalico's Klaviyo audit is $1,000, one time, including a walkthrough call.

Is it cheaper to hire a Klaviyo freelancer?

Usually, for flow building alone. It gets more expensive when the problems sit in Shopify data or app integrations, because those need a developer as well.

Do I pay Klaviyo separately from the agency?

Yes. Klaviyo's subscription is billed by Klaviyo based on your contact count and SMS volume. Agency fees are separate.

What should be included in a Klaviyo agency proposal?

The flows and email counts, the monthly send volume, who owns creative, who fixes data and integration issues, how results are reported, and what happens to the templates and flows if you leave. You should own everything built in your account.
